We’re proud to share that Within Studio has been named Design Consultant of the Year at the 2025 Cornerstone Awards.

The Cornerstone Awards are Southern Arizona’s highest recognition for excellence in the building industry. Members of AIA, ABA, NAWIC, ACEC, and CSI nominate firms that demonstrate outstanding design quality, craftsmanship, collaboration, and integrity. A jury of past recipients reviews each nomination, evaluating documentation, teamwork, community contributions, schedule responsiveness, and the overall standard of the work.

This award reflects the ethos we bring to every project: thoughtful design, clear communication, and storytelling that honors the people behind the space.

Congratulations to our long-time collaborators at Seaver Franks Architects, named Architect of the Year. Strong partnerships elevate the entire industry, and we’re grateful for the work we build together.

Our first project together was the Hilton Doubletree at the Tucson Convention Center, a space that needed to reflect Tucson’s identity as the host of the world’s largest gem show, while also honoring the Barrio Community’s historic roots.

Working with Courtney from Caliber has been a creative collaboration in every sense. From hospitality to housing to public revitalization, she brings insight, clarity, and a deep respect for storytelling in design.

Elana joined Within Studio over a decade ago with curiosity and drive—and helped lead one of our most meaningful international projects: the Asian Headquarters for Analog Devices in the Philippines.

The scale was big (15,000 square meters, 1,200 engineers). The impact? Even bigger. It introduced underfloor air distribution to the region for the first time, and embraced sustainable design strategies across the board: natural light, bamboo and felt finishes, recycled content carpet, and low-VOC coatings.

But behind the specs was a human story of trust, talent, and a teammate who made it better.
