BIG NEWS for Up & Running!
As of June 1, 2025, Jon Malecki from Techtivity Computers will take over ownership of the business that we started in May of 2002!
Yep, Pat and I are retiring from the computer business.
As part of the "sale" agreement, I am "allowed" to maintain as much contact with any all of our customers for advice, questions, or personal contact as I wish. Any work that might lead to "billable", though, I will be passing along to Jon or Dan from Fireproof Computer Services
Jon will assume the business phone, 520-271-8684. Anyone wishing to contact me after June 1st should do so at 479-715-1192, text preferred.
I will also maintain the same email address: [email protected], so don't hesitate to email me!
I do not think Jon does FB, so until he takes over as Admin on this page, you can also continue to contact me here. I am also available on these social media sites; feel free to connect with me if you want:
Facebook as either Hugh Akston or Don Winfield (I maintain both)
X as
TruthSocial as
Linkedin as Don Winfield
Thank you to everyone that has contributed to this page, or become our friends and customers. We are forever grateful and please stay in touch!!!

FRAUD ALERT:
I have been seeing this a lot recently..maybe a few times per day! There are several formats this fraud takes in effort to add legitimacy to it…. One version says their lawyer friend (then add some name) told them about this..another version claims they saw it last night on Channel Four News (no call letters, of course). I urge you to NOT do this. It does not cause any harm all by itself, but it does allow the fraudsters to harvest lists and lists and lists of valid FB accounts and contact spheres, so when they clone accounts they know who to target.
PLEASE do not do this but please DO share my post here with your family and friends so we can help them prevent becoming unintentional accessories to this fraud.
Thank you. Don

Do you use an Android phone like I do? PLEASE read this short article about a vulnerability that is hijacking banking accounts. There are 5 apps in particular this article mentions. GO to Settings, Apps and scroll down your list to see if you have one or more of them and remove them right away.
Don
Dangerous Android trojan targets 600 banking apps — and it's draining accounts Android smartphone owners in the U.S., U.K. and other countries are having their bank accounts drained by an updated version of the Anatsa banking trojan.

Another FRAUD example .... when I look at the senders reply address it was "[email protected]"..that was the first hint, then where it says to "update here", I hovered over that with my mouse and looked at the bottom left of my screen (where it shows the actual link) and it says "link-tube dot com/X1-Xf1n1ty1" Notice the "1s" replacing the "is" in the name Xfinity. (I had to replace the actual dot with the word dot because Facebook recognized the link as fraud and stopped me from posting it!)
Those two things are the things to review prior to ever clicking on a link from a service provider like T Mobile, Xfinity, Cox, ATT, etc.
