The school is named for Ms Winnie Wheeler, a teacher and principal in District One for 31 years prior to her retirement in 1953. Vernon, who served for 25 years. The original building was built with 30 classrooms and a general purpose room. In 1992, the school was renovated to its present size of 26 classrooms including 2 computer labs, a library, a general purpose room, health office, faculty lounge, workrooms and offices.

Please help us welcome our newly appointed Interim Principal, Ms. Kari Baltes. She comes to us with multiple years of experience as a school counselor and most recently as an Assistant Principal at CE Rose.

The second grade Wheeler wildcats sung their hearts out at their performance today! Thanks to all the families who came to support them and to the teachers for all the work they put in to make this happen!

Wheeler Elementary fourth and fifth grade Wildcats had their band and orchestra performance this Wednesday! We had a full house and we are so thankful that our families were able to attend and show up to support them!
