We can not believe that is has been 10 years! Thank you to all the community organizations, donors, and artists who have been involved with Mapping Q since 2014. This exhibition celebrates all of those creative voices in the LGBTQ+ community in Arizona. We hope you can see the exhibition before it closes in January, 2025.

Exhibiting change: LGBTQ+ art program celebrates a decade of displays at U of A Art Museum The University of Arizona Museum of Art marks the 10th anniversary of its groundbreaking LGBTQ-centered art exhibit, Mapping Q.

Calling all current and past participants of Mapping Q! Mapping Q is celebrating its ten-year anniversary. Since 2014, we have connected with hundreds of young artists, collaborated with multiple community organizations, and hosted over a dozen exhibitions of LGBTQ+ youth art. This year we want to celebrate everyone who helped us get this far. If you were a past, current participant or teaching artist, we need YOU to submit recent artwork for this upcoming exhibition, "Mapping Q: still q***r after all these years." This exhibition will be the largest exhibition of LGBTQ+ youth artwork in Tucson and will highlight the wisdom, creativity, struggles, joy, and resiliency of our community. We are still here and will be in another ten years!

Details on how to submit are in the link below. Deadline to submit is Friday, May 17th. The exhibition will open at the University of Arizona Museum of Art on July 6, 2024. Email [email protected] if you have any questions.
