I always suggest protein + carbs to be eaten together, even better if you eat the protein source first👊🏼

this is NOT me shaming carbs, in fact I am a huge supporter of them as the body’s preferred source of energy. BUT what are the carbs you’re usually reaching for and how can you maybe switch those out for some more nutrient-dense sources?

When your body is craving a yummy spring salad but you are also hanging onto the lasts of winter harvest💜

I don’t use a recipe when making salads - just kinda chuck whatever we have/sounds good into it. This one is:

- greens
- the most beautiful roasted purple cauliflower
- red onion
- shredded chicken
- goat cheese
- olive oil + acv

Metabolism is the summation of ALL the chemical processes in our body, including the conversion of food into energy. If the metabolism is thriving, then everything follows suit.

It’s trendy to chase after all of the “fixes” - immune system health, thyroid health, hormone health, gut health, and on and on..

But we know that the body functions as a whole entity. When our cells aren’t well-nourished, we begin to see symptoms - these symptoms are only painting a big picture of what is going on internally.

Pursuing TRUE + LASTING health emphasizes the importance of the metabolism.

So if this is the case, how do we support our metabolism? Here are a few starters:

✔️eat every 3ish hours for thyroid support
✔️identify + try to address areas of stress in your life (job, relationships, exposure to toxins, poor food choices, etc.)
✔️reduce intake of processed oils (sunflower, canola, cottonseed…)
✔️exercise to support the body’s needs - less cardio and more strength training. Women should take into account where they are in their cycle as well.
✔️daily adrenal cocktail - arguably everyone is mineral deficient - thank you stress - and a daily adrenal cocktail helps with regular replenishment
