RPI Institute Archives and Special Collections is bringing newly rediscovered American Revolution materials to the public through a free virtual exhibit, At a Fearsome Cost: 18th Century New York and the Revolution.
Launched in advance of America’s 250th anniversary, the exhibit offers first-hand accounts and perspectives on the founding of the nation.

Nina Christof '26 never had to choose between the classroom and the rink. 🏒💻
A computer science major and ice hockey captain during her time at RPI, she competed at the highest level of Division I hockey while also stepping onto the global stage at the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics.
Nicknamed "team nerd" by her teammates, she showed that academic and athletic excellence can thrive side by side.
After her grandmother contracted a preventable infection during a routine hospital stay, Colleen Costello Kristensen ’12 refused to accept it as inevitable.
She co-founded Vyv, a health tech company using antimicrobial light technology to reduce bacteria and make spaces like hospitals and schools safer for everyone.
