This 100 acre preserve is home to over 20 resident deer, a wide range of Michigan native plants, rolling meadows, forest trails, boardwalks over marshlands and the Rouge River, which rolls though the grounds. Explore the indoor exhibits and grab a family nature scavenger hunt from the reception desk. Child scavenger hunt participants can choose a prize when completed.
One more day to pre-order native plants from East Michigan Native Plants LLC. Pick up your purchases at Stage on Saturday, May 30th between 10:30am and 2:30pm.
Master Gardener volunteers will be available during that time to answer your questions.

Cocoon update: the cocoon that our volunteer found in the native garden last week was actually a Polyphemus moth and it emerged today. It's been released and is living its best (very short!) life at Stage
