Your D4 (downtown area)council rep and public safety committee chair is proposing that the city reduce street sweeping from 5 days a week to one day. Have you seen the city streets before clean up? After a weekend? Ask the local businesses how they feel about their street front being disgusting with litter. Litter that will sit and rot and smell for a week! Is this the best way to improve public safety? Is this the best way to keep our streets cleaner and safer?

Why is it so difficult for these socialists to obey parking signage/restrictions, have accountability, responsibility and MOVE THEIR CARS! It’s ok for these residents to wake up before noon and move their cars! While her son sits in prison for (multiple) illegal gun charges, this is what our public safety chair comes up with! They will not stop until Troy is a lawless free for all smaller version of NYC.

Of all the amazing things/projects that have been accomplished/completed by this administration, this maybe one maybe the best! We can debate that but, most importantly we hope to see you (and your kids) all at the pool tomorrow. What an amazing party the City of Troy has planned! What better day to unveil an awesome aquatic center than on a likely record setting day for temps! See you there!

Following opening remarks and the ribbon cutting, the pool will officially open for the season with a ceremonial cannonball!
