Brian Henry enjoyed saying hello to Amy Amador, Deputy Director of the City of Detroit’s Bridging Neighborhoods program, an impactful initiative focused on strengthening neighborhoods through housing stability, blight reduction, and resident-driven community investment.

For the past three years, eTITLE has been proud to partner with the City of Detroit on its Home Swap programs. In addition to the ongoing Gordie Howe International Bridge (GHIB) Home Swap initiative, the city is now leading a new program focused on renovated homes near the Joe Louis Greenway. This newer effort allows referred residents with significant repair needs to transition into Detroit Land Bank Authority owned homes that have been fully renovated, supported through funding from the Rocket Community Fund and in partnership with the Detroit Home Repair Fund.

At our Jefferson Avenue office, City of Detroit Senior Housing Consultant Darrius Hicks, MPA presented Omary with the keys to a new home through this program. Moments like this underscore why this work matters. eTITLE closer Barb Van Oast shared how rewarding it is to be part of these transactions, especially seeing the genuine appreciation from homeowners as they begin their next chapter in Detroit. Brian brought homemade brownies to help celebrate the occasion!

It was fantastic connecting over lunch with the brilliant team at Vibe Credit Union! We discussed the current real estate climate, local mortgage rates and how we will be assisting them with more educational training for their new team members.
