One of New York State’s best old-school hot dog shops, Famous Lunch in Troy takes you straight back in time the moment you walk in. You sit at a counter or a wooden booth, watching the crew call out orders from memory while mini hot dogs hit the grill. Most get them “with everything”...mustard, onions, and their famous zippy meat sauce. The fries are hand-cut, the prices are low, and the place feels like a true neighborhood hangout. It’s busy, cash-only, friendly, and full of history. One bite and you'll realize why folks drive hours just to get these little hot dogs again!
