It has been estimated that 50 million people challenge themselves to the Daily Crossword puzzles in their local newspaper.

Statistics from the 2020 Vision Problems in Ohio report 97,870 people age 50 and older have age-related macular degeneration, a 10.5% increase since 2014.

That means there are thousands of people who are struggling or even giving up doing the crossword due to their own vision changes.

For over 20 years I’ve worked to show individuals who face vision changes that there are ways to continue doing the things they enjoy. Most importantly, maintaining their independence and quality of life!

During this demonstration, Roger wanted to be able to complete the crossword puzzle, read his financial statements, mail and prescription bottles. He was impressed he could trim his fingernails and even tighten the screw on his eye glasses!
