Here we are - The Gilded Age S1 E6: Beautiful big scene filmed in downtown Troy, NY at Monument Square with lots of background extras, horses and carriages. Peggy Scott and Marion Brook bump into Larry Russell on the street outside Mr White’s architecture office. Marion introduces Larry to Peggy. Peggy turns to the flower cart to smell the roses. Larry confides in Marion to keep a secret. They have a pleasant conversation (church bells ring - nice touch) then Larry tips his hat and leaves. Peggy approaches and says, “He seems nice.” Marion replies, “I think he is nice.” Marion places her hand in the air with two fingers raised to fetch a cab and says, “Here we are.”

If you caught the last episode of The Gilded Age (episode 4) then you know about the ⏰ deal and how these guys will be celebrating in an upcoming episode! I was talking with Prop Dept. outside of Lark Hall early morning last summer when I had a chance meeting with Harry Richardson and Ben Ahlers. They were taking a quick look inside the hall at the set then grabbed a fruit cup and coffee from Craft, met up with Nicole Boydon Bloom then headed to their trailers in Washington Park to get ready for filming. Lark Hall was used as a key location for a big scene with a handful of lead actors and many background actors and actresses. I had just met and spoke with Ben in Troy a few days prior which explains the familiar chitchat in passing. (8/14/24)

An animated Bertha Russell (played by Carrie C**n) at an encounter with my camera lens and Ward McAllister (played by Nathan Lane). The tension builds between George and Bertha. Things are getting exciting! Will McAllister help or hinder the situation? Season 3 of The Gilded Age scene was filmed at 116 2nd Street in Troy NY on Russell Sage College campus. (8/20/24)

My gut tells me we will meet Dr. William Kirkland for the first time during season 3 episode 2 that will air this Sunday when he attends to the very sick, Peggy Scott. Many people have commented they want to see more of Jordan Donica. This is one for the fans when I managed to get this slick shot when Jordan posed for the official HBO photographer on North Church St. in front of the historic Stockade Inn in Schenectady, NY. Wonder if the pinkey ring is a significant detail. (8/15/24)
