06-05-2026, today the Trinity Police Department swore in it’s newest member to our Department. Officer Cliff Prestwood will serve a duel role with TPD and the City of Trinity, as a police officer and city code enforcement officer. He will be working with the community to help clean up and beautify our neighborhoods and city.

Officer Prestwood brings years of experience from his many years at TDCJ and as a lawman for the County of Trinity. Please welcome him to our team.

The Trinity Police Department is saddened about the death of long time resident and lawman of Trinity County. It was an honor and a privilege to know and work with Constable Casey.
