On Tuesday, February 13, 2024, detectives from the Traverse Narcotics Team
(TNT) identified several individuals who have been traveling on a regular basis to the Traverse City area from Muskegon
to deliver large quantities of drugs. Surveillance was conducted in Garfield Township and a traffic stop was conducted by
members of the Michigan State Police (MSP) 7th District Emergency Support Team (EST).
Four men from the Muskegon area were arrested during the traffic stop after the following items were located in the
rental vehicle:
- 114 grams of crystal methamphetamine
- 58 grams of co***ne
- 31 grams of fentanyl
- 6 grams of he**in
- 2.5 grams of crack co***ne
- 5 oxycodone pills
- $1,860 in US currency
All four men in the vehicle, a 20-year-old, a 22-year-old, a 27-year-old, and a 29-year-old, were lodged at the Grand
Traverse County Jail.
They are each being held on a $75,000 bond for possession with the intent to deliver methamphetamine, possession with
the intent to deliver co***ne, possession with the intent to deliver fentanyl, and possession with the intent to deliver he**in.
Additional charges are expected as the investigation continues.

TNT was assisted by the MSP ES Team, Grand Traverse County Sheriff’s Office, and the MSP Traverse City Post.

Sentencing Handed Down on Drug Case

For Immediate Release: Date: July 19, 2023

Mesick, MI. On Friday, December 16, 2022, detectives from the Traverse Narcotics Team (TNT) completed an investigation that led to the arrest of two subjects for trafficking illegal narcotics. TNT utilized troopers from the Michigan State Police (MSP) Cadillac post and an MSP canine team to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle suspected of containing a large quantity of methamphetamine. During the traffic stop evidence of drug use was located in plain view and the two occupants were removed from the vehicle. Sean McQueen, 40 years old, of Manton and Danielle Petrie, 39 years old of Thompsonville were arrested and lodged at the Wexford County Jail.
A search warrant was executed on the vehicle and detectives found 4.8 ounces of methamphetamine, 16 grams of fentanyl, buprenorphine, and a stolen 9mm handgun from Muskegon.
Danielle Petrie was charged for the following:
- Receiving and concealing stolen property
- Felony firearm
- Possession with intent to deliver fentanyl
- Possession with the intent to deliver methamphetamine
- Maintain a drug vehicle
- Possession of analogues
- Operating vehicle without insurance
Petrie was sentenced on July 17, 2023, in the 28th Circuit Court to 6.5-40 years.
Sean McQueen was charged with the following:
- Possession with the intent to deliver fentanyl
- Possession with the intent to deliver methamphetamine
- Maintain a drug vehicle
McQueen will be sentenced later this month in the 28th Circuit Court.
