TCAPS Indigenous Education Program

West Senior High students interested in learning more about the University of Michigan (Umich) or transferring to the University of Michigan are encouraged to attend this event happening Tomorrow May 6, 2026!

What to expect:
Students will join me in room A201 at West Senior High School from 11:45am-12:45pm to join the Zoom webinar with UMich enrollment and transfer specialists. The presentation includes information about what UMich has to offer students, and what the transfer process looks like from a community college like Northwestern Michigan College (NMC) or another four year institution.

All grade levels are encouraged to attend, even if you're unsure about where you plan to attend college or if attending a four year institution is the right path for you.

If this interferes with a student's class but they'd still like to attend, I can write passes for students.

Aanii families! We hope to see you at this month's beading workshop tonight at the East Middle School Library from 6-7 pm. All supplies will be provided, and you’re welcome to bring your own materials if you prefer.

Who’s Invited?
All parents and students enrolled in the Indigenous Education Program are warmly encouraged to attend. This is a perfect opportunity for graduating seniors to learn the basics of beading to bead their graduation caps next month!
