While TMS therapy offers promising benefits, there are a few considerations to consider. Treatment typically spans about seven weeks, with sessions lasting as little as 19 minutes. Some patients may experience mild, temporary discomfort, like headaches or scalp sensitivity. Additionally, TMS is FDA-cleared only for specific conditions, including depression, anxious depression, and OCD in adults, as well as depression in adolescents aged 15–21.
