Statement from County Executive Klausmeier:

“I am grateful that the officer injured in today's shooting is awake and talking.

Thank you to our police and fire department for being quickly on the scene, and the incredible team at Shock Trauma for their quick response and care.

This violent attack is unacceptable and outrageous. My prayers are with the officer, his family, loved ones, and colleagues, and I am praying for his full and quick recovery.”
