The first National of the season for us is in the books!

Carsten is your Blue Rookie A-Main Winner!!! P1 to P1 🏆
He did great! Got a good jump and charged ahead never looking back! He did cause my heart to stop a couple times when he got loose, but he held onto it and brought home the Win!!

Great Job Buddy!! We are so proud of you!!

Race Day 2 Lower Mains:
Carter’s day was filled with ups and downs.

Lt 160 E-Main starting P5. As the cars pushed out one of the competitors had their chain pop. So we moved up into P4 for the start. Then in the third attempt at double file restart, cars stacked up in front of us and with nowhere to go he made contact with the wall bending our front axle. The crew chief couldn’t make a repair fast enough and our Lt 160 day was done before it started.

Sr Honda C-Main starting P5. On the first lap Carter was able to make his way to P3, where he would hold the spot for a handful of laps before a little contact brought him to a stop . Sending him to P10. He would make his way all the way back to P5 before going around, so back to P10. With just a few laps left he was able to race back to 6th where his day would end.

With each of the Nationals we continue to learn as a driver and crew chief, so we can be more prepared for our next event!!

Day 3 we will be cheering on Carsten as he sits on the Pole for the Blue Rookie A-Main!

Day 1 of the NASCAR Youth Series Dirt National at Blackbird Quarter Midget Race Club in the books! The team had mixed result but we will be back at it today to make the charge for the A-Main!

Heats:
Carter Sr Honda - P6 to P4 which has him starting P5 in the C-Main. Struggled to get into a rhythm but was able to still move forward.

Carter’s Lt160 - P4 to P6 which has him starting 5th in the E-Main. The crew chief missed on the gearing and just couldn’t get moving forward.

Carsten Blue Rookie: P2 to P1 which had him starting P1 for the A-Main on Sunday. He just keeps doing what he does, running a good line!

That’s a wrap!! The school year has come to an end and we could not be more proud of Carter! He received the Silver President’s Education Award along with some great grades!! Now it’s time to hit the track at the NASCAR Youth Series Dirt National at Blackbird Quarter Midget Race Club!!

Heat: P7 to P2!
Had a great start make a number of passes on the first lap settling into P2!
Feature: P2 to P2 🥈

Carter’s Lt 160
Heat: P4 to P2
Feature P3 to P3 🥉
Made his way to P2 but gave it back a few laps later then settled in and ran P3 the rest of the race.

Overall a good day for both boys! Made clean passes and moving forward running good lines! Hopefully we can carry it over into next weekend when Blackbird Quarter Midget Race Club host this seasons 1st dirt National of the year for the NASCAR Youth Series!! If you’re in the area come check it out!
