We’ve normalized feeling exhausted, inflamed, overstimulated, disconnected, anxious, numb, tired overprescribed, and chronically unwell for so long that many of us have stopped recognizing the signals our bodies were trying to give us all along.
Your body was designed to communicate with you.
Sometimes healing looks like learning to notice again. 🤍
Some answers but also … So many questions. Let’s start with - Why would I make this permanent on my page instead of a temporary story? Why would I even share this in the interwebs at all actually? Why is there trash in my hair? What trash even is this? I don’t recognize it AT ALL. Aren’t raccoons otherwise known as “trash pandas?” Did they do this to me? Why am I so good at raccoon mating noises? How long was this trash in my hair?
So. Many. Questions. But we have one answer. Nay, two.
1: It was indeed very much raccoons waking me in the middle of the night.
2: Why, yes, I can reenact the sounds of raccoon mating season on command. You’re welcome.
Bonus answer 3: Yes, I sometimes (often) show up on the world wide webs this way.
