Goering Family Optometry

We wanted to let our patients know that our office will be closing early on November 7th, 2025. Our office hours that day will be 9-3. Everyone have a great and safe weekend ahead!

This morning I lost my big brother, my mentor, and my business partner of 26 years. Words cannot express how much he has meant to me and my family. He took care of me when I was a rookie and it has been my pleasure to return the favor as he slowed down.
I see the impression he made on 42 years of patients and know proud my dad would have been at how he cared for everyone. He always put his patients needs ahead of his own. This was sometimes at a cost to the business and sometimes the family. But it was what he promised to do. If someone was going to pick a role model in optometry, he was a great choice. I learned so much from him and don’t really know how to work without him by my side. Whether it was advice on how to handle some prism or medical problem solving or simply my one person outside the home that I could bitch to. About everything!
I loved him very much and there will always be a giant empty spot in my life without him.
Thanks for the warm wishes we have received. If i did not respond, please forgive me, this was a day! And the coming weeks will not be easy.

Dear patients and friends,
I will soon be moving on to a new opportunity with another company. It has been my sincere pleasure to work with all of you and get to know you over the past twelve years. I have been so fortunate to have learned so much about eyes and glasses while working here. It is my hope that I can pass that knowledge on to the next optician before I leave in June. We are so blessed to have patients we've known for years, and I'm asking you all to spread the word that we are looking for a new person to join the team.
