We’re proud to share that Debbi Beavers, Director of the Kansas Alcoholic Beverage Control, has been elected President of the National Conference of State Liquor Administrators!
Debbi has been a dedicated public servant since 2004, rising through the ranks to become the first female ABC Director in Kansas history. Her leadership, vision, and commitment to responsible alcohol regulation have earned her national recognition—including the prestigious “Leadership in Alcohol Regulation” award from the Center for Alcohol Policy.
Now, as NCSLA President, she’ll help foster collaboration among regulators across the country.

The Office of the Kansas Attorney General recently released a memorandum regarding THC. The Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) would like to remind retailers and distributors that in Kansas, it's illegal to possess or sell controlled substances—including unlawful THC products. THC-infused drinks fall under this ban unless they meet very specific legal exceptions. Retailers and distributors are responsible for making sure their products comply with state law.
