This bill targets offenders already convicted of non-drug felonies at severity levels 1, 2, 3, or 4, such as murder and aggravated assault. Individuals awaiting conviction for manufacturing substances like fentanyl or distributing large quantities of illegal drugs. It ensures that these offenders remain in jail between conviction and sentencing.
