A private landowner, I single-handedly completed a NRCS (Natural Resource Conservation Services) timber restoration project ahead of schedule. A member of the Walnut Council since 2012 and member of the KFA (Kansas Forest Association) since 2015, that values the big picture of forestry.

1st Saturday for the 2026 season @ the Breadbasket market. Canopies a Fly'in and a cold northly wind. Thanks to the patrons for coming out.

Fun Fact: as I organize for tax filing season, I made 158 Litchenberg boxes compared to 129 the year before. And 14 benches this year compared to 12 in 2024. I used 11 different species of wood (all locally harvested): Ash, Black Walnut, Eastern Red Cedar, Cherry, Cottonwood, Elm, Hackberry, Pine, Osage Orange, Maple and Oak.
This coming season Cottonwood is in abundance. Remember those huge trees that the wind blew down? So, hope to see you this coming season @ the Downtown Farmer's Market. Opening date not yet announced.
