The funds raised through this event support Teacher Innovation Grants, which play a vital role in promoting creativity, engagement, and enhanced learning opportunities in classrooms throughout the district. Jose Garcia-Retana has joined SDG as our newest Project Designer. We are excited for Jose to begin his professional career with us and look forward to seeing the impact he will make on our team.

Michael Tipton is joining our Oklahoma City office as our newest intern. He will be working closely with Project Manager Shaun Elwood and gaining hands-on experience across a variety of projects.

Kristopher Snyder has joined our Topeka office as an intern. With his first week already behind him, he has hit the ground running and has quickly become a valuable addition to the team.

We are excited to support Jose, Michael, and Kristopher as they grow professionally and develop their careers at SDG. Welcome to the team!

This afternoon, part of the SDG team attended the Drake Development groundbreaking for Oldham Village + East Village! This transformative project in Lee’s Summit will create new growth and opportunities for the community for years to come.

Our very own Michael Scott had the opportunity to take part in the groundbreaking ceremony after being involved with the site planning and layout since day one. The SDG team has also been designing the core & shell for multiple retail businesses that will be joining the development.

We are excited to see this project officially getting underway and can’t wait to watch the vision come to life!

The custom wood glulam beams have officially been installed at the new Mother Teresa Catholic Church in Topeka!

These massive beams were specifically designed and fabricated for this project, with each one weighing close to 5,000 pounds. Glulam (glue-laminated timber) beams are created by bonding layers of wood together under intense pressure, allowing them to achieve both incredible strength and the beautiful curved architectural form seen in the church design.

We are thankful for our construction team at KBS Constructors for their amazing work in the project!
