๐ŸŽฃ As National Fishing & Boating Week comes to a closeโ€ฆ โ˜€๏ธ

Weโ€™re reminded that some of the best moments in life are often the simplest:
๐ŸŒ… sunsets over the water
๐ŸŽฃ one last cast before dark
๐Ÿšค weekends spent outdoors
๐Ÿ’™ time with the people who matter most

Summer has a way of slowing things down just enough to appreciate:
๐Ÿค connection
โœจ quiet moments
๐Ÿ˜๏ธ community
โ˜€๏ธ making memories together

At CRC, we believe those moments matter โ€” because strong communities are built through connection, support, and time spent together.

๐Ÿ’ฌ Whatโ€™s your favorite Kansas summer memory? โฌ‡๏ธ

Passing on a message from our Vice President of Resource Development, Jarrod Guth:

๐Ÿ•The clock is ticking! We are officially halfway through our annual Day of Giving, and while the momentum across the Kaw Valley has been incredible, we still have a crucial hill to climb to reach our goals for the year.

So far, we have raised $8,700 dollars of our $30,000 dollar goal.

The funds raised today directly determine our ability to power essential local services, like our Community Resource Navigator Programโ€”the vital lifeline that steps in during moments of crisis to connect families right here in our neighborhood to urgent housing, healthcare, and financial assistance. Beyond our own walls, your generosity today secures the final wave of funding that dozens of area non-profit partners depend on to keep their doors open.

We are making a direct push right now, and we need you. If you haven't had a chance to support your county today, now is the moment to act.

You can give right now at UWKVDayofGiving.org.

Midnight tonight is also your last chance to score Koe Wetzel tickets just for donating! Thanks to Azura Credit Union, one lucky donor will win 2 reserved open-air suite tickets to see Koe Wetzel at the Azura Amphitheater.

Whether it's $25, $50, or $100, your gift builds our community's safety net. That's especially true for our ALICE neighbors (see our earlier Facebook post for more great information about ALICE).

Let's finish this day strong. Thank you for standing with United Way of Kaw Valley and the thousands of local families who rely on our network every day.

United is the way! Thank you!
Jarrod

๐Ÿ’™ Community starts with connection โ€” and caring for ourselves and one another is part of building a stronger community.

Today is National Call Your Doctor Day, a reminder to prioritize:
๐Ÿ’› wellness
๐Ÿ  stability
๐Ÿค support
โœจ taking care of ourselves and our families

At CRC, our work is rooted in:
๐Ÿค collaboration
๐Ÿ  stability
๐Ÿ’› support
๐Ÿ“ฃ advocacy
โœจ strengthening our community together

For over 100 years, CRC has worked behind the scenes to help connect people, organizations, and resources throughout Topeka.

Because healthier, stronger communities happen when people support one another โ€” and when we take time to care for ourselves too.

๐ŸŽฃ National Fishing & Boating Week is here โ˜€๏ธ

Thereโ€™s just something about this time of year in Kansas:
๐ŸŒ… sunrise at the lake
๐ŸŽฃ fishing with family
๐Ÿšค weekends on the water
๐Ÿ’™ making memories together

This weekend especially, weโ€™re reminded how important it is to slow down and spend time with the people who matter most โ€” including the veterans and loved ones who have sacrificed so much for our communities and country. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

Whether itโ€™s a fishing trip, a boat ride, or simply time together outdoors, those moments matter.

Wishing everyone a safe and meaningful week enjoying the outdoors and making memories together.
