About 40 years ago, after spending winter and spring studying fireplace and chimney construction I spent the summer building a 40 foot tall structure from rocks carefully cleaned and lifted into place. I have always been proud of the design and hard work that went into the fireplace warmed my family throughout those many seasons, and any work I did on my 180 year old home was done with care towards the original intent of the building. Unfortunately the years had taken their toll on one area where the mortar was weak, and I thought you might have the expertise to repoint the mortar joints because of your experience with Dryvit and cultured stone. Your Project Manager Nick stopped over promptly to estimate the requirements and you provided me with a detailed quote a few days later. Soon after I gave my approval, Nick called to say your crew would start on Monday if there was no rain and in this year we were lucky that we had clear sailing for the 2.5 days it took them to complete it. I had my expectations, of course, but I was incredulous as to the artisanship that went into restoring my chimney to its former glory. the were brushed smooth with no residue blemishing any of the hand-picked stones. Tony and Roman were true artists, who are up to any challenge in the masonry field. They even took the initiative to suggest an alternate method of protecting the chimney cap. They showed up every day, cleaned up every day, were polite, and were a pleasure to have working at my home. Thank you for providing more than was required in our agreement! Sincerely,
