Hartwig Project Bathroom Recap:

This project was definitely the most challenging to date. Highlights include:
- full gut and completely redesigned bathroom to maximize space and provide additional storage
- rebuild 2nd floor including new floor joists and walls
- new plumbing (supply lines, sewer, vents, etc).
- stunning floor to ceiling shower tile including a decrative recessed wall niche
- beautiful gold fixtures throughout including matching sliding glass shower door hardware
- gorgeous engineered stone top his and hers vanity with arched mirrors
- Bluetooth bath fan/light combo
- LED GFI’s with built in night lights
- completely new electrical from the panel and LED recessed lights
- Built in linen closet for necessary storage capacity

Was called in to save this bathroom renovation from someone who claimed to be a contractor… needless to say, zero waterproofing was done, the niche that was attempted was quite possibly the worst I had ever seen and would have leaked immediately and the plumbing/electrical were suspect at best. When the homeowner complained about the shotty work, he ended up walking off the job and taking the rest of the materials with him.

Due to budget constraints, I was able to salvage the floor and the shower pan that was set. Unfortunately, the tile surround needed to be demo’d and completely redone as well as most of the plumbing and electrical.

I was asked to help design the bathroom which I gladly did. After providing several different options, the homeowner selected this design. Super happy to have saved the day on this one and put another successful project in the books!
