346 people died in the 737 MAX crashes — and Boeing concealed the MCAS data from the FAA.
The Lion Air and Ethiopian Airlines crashes were not accidents in the traditional sense. They were the predictable result of a deliberate decision to avoid re-certifying the 737 MAX as a new aircraft type — which would have required expensive simulator training for airlines. MCAS was designed around that business constraint. When it failed, it killed 346 people. Boeing knew the system had failure modes it had not disclosed.
The grounding happened. The recertification happened. The accountability was partial at best.
Did Boeing's leadership face consequences proportionate to a decision that killed 346 people?

LaGuardia was the one airport that actually got rebuilt — and Trump took credit for a public-private deal he did not design.
LaGuardia Airport's Terminal B redevelopment is widely acknowledged as a success. Modern architecture, better passenger flow, improved retail, functional gates. The project was a public-private partnership structured years before Trump took office. Trump held a ribbon-cutting and claimed it as an infrastructure win. The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey built it.
Taking credit for things you did not build is a recurring feature of American politics — not unique to any party.
Who should actually get credit for infrastructure that happens across multiple administrations?
