The Early Childhood (Grades 4–5) Generalist Endorsement allows teachers who hold a current, valid Ohio Early Childhood Education (PreK–Grade 3) license to meet additional requirements so that they can teach all core subject areas in grades four and five.

UThink is offered in partnership with Heidelberg University for affordable and flexible graduate coursework leading to an Early Childhood Generalist Endorsement.
Classes are taught online and are flexible so as not to disrupt your current teaching position.
To obtain your Early Childhood Generalist Endorsement, complete three classes and pass the OAE Elementary Education Subtests I and II (018/019).
Early Childhood Generalist can be completed in two terms; registration is now open for Spring Term 2, beginning March 13, 2023.

At UThink, we keep your busy schedule in mind when designing our endorsements.
Courses are offered in condensed 8-week sessions, as well as a shorter summer term. Students may register for one course, or in some cases two courses, each 8-week term.
Some seminar assignments are constructed to be completed independently, while others are designed to be interactive.
