New class alert! In Good Paws is starting a new Control Unleashed: Basics class on April 12th.

Control Unleashed: Basics is a 4 week in-person small group class geared towards reactive, distracted, and anxious dogs to help them learn focus and calm in the face of their triggers. It's great for those enthusiastic adolescents who need help thinking when everyone in the world is a potential new bestie! It's also helpful for those dogs how have big feelings about others, barking and lunging to get space.

If your dog struggles with big feelings out in the world (excitement, reactivity, anxiety), this class can help turn things around! If this sounds like your dog (or a friend you know could benefit), Control Unleashed could be the perfect fit.

We have a new class starting in person on April 12th running Sundays from 12:30-1:30pm at Team Spirit Agility in Arvada.
To make sure the class is a good fit for your dog + give you some immediate tools to use, we require a 30-minute instructor evaluation prior to registration.

Schedule your evaluation by filling out the form below, so you can sign up for the next CU:Basics class.

Ever wanted to try a Rattlesnake Avoidance class, but don't feel comfortable with the risk of using an eCollar to do it (believe me, the risks are big!).

Then check out this Positive Reinforcement Snake Avoidance class at The Veterinary Behavior Center. This program is designed to help dogs learn to recognize rattlesnake scent, sight, and sound and respond with a trained alert and reliable recall away from danger. The course uses positive reinforcement-based training and includes structured skill development and homework to support long-term retention.

Program Details:
• Begins April 16
• Thursday, 6–7 PM (first session virtual, remaining sessions in person)
• Limited to 6 dog-handler teams
• Full participant: $330
• Virtual audit option: $119

In Good Paws isn't teaching or associated with this class, but these skills are so valuable, I wanted to share!

Registration is available at:

Imagine a world where you feel confident stepping out the door with your reactive dog. Your dog is able to disengage from things that previously sent them over the edge; checking in with you rather than barking and lunging. You know exactly how to support your dog in tough situations. You look forward to walks, instead of secretly (or not so secretly) dreading them.

How is this possible? By joining Control Unleashed! In this 4 week small group class, we give you the tools to help your reactive dog develop more coping skills in a world that gives them big feelings. Learn alongside other owners who know what you are going through with lots of one-on-one guidance from your instructors. That’s right- we have 2 instructors for each 5 dog class to ensure you feel supported every step of the way.

How to join? The first step is a 30-minute instructor evaluation/mini-session to make sure class is a good fit for your dog. Plus you get management strategies and a training exercise to get started with right away!

I’m in! The next class starts on 3/1 at Team Spirit Agility in Arvada. Schedule an evaluation using this link:
