With all the rain we've been getting, it's important to walk your property and check your trees. The saturated ground becomes soft and can cause a tree to lose its structural strength. Combined with strong winds, a heavy, water-soaked tree can easily lose its grip on the soil and topple. Look for yellowing leaves, soft or mushy roots, and muddy, foul-smelling soil around the base.
