Congratulations to Ryan Gottschalk of Johns Creek High School on being named the 2025-26 Gatorade Georgia Boys Soccer Player of the Year!

The standout midfielder helped lead the Gladiators to a remarkable 22-1 record and the Class AAAAA State Championship this season. Gottschalk finished the year with 24 goals and 12 assists, earning State Championship MVP honors after helping spark the decisive goal in Johns Creek’s 2-0 victory over River Ridge High School in the state title match.

In addition to his on-field success, Gottschalk was named the Region 7-AAAAA Player of the Year and has maintained an A average in the classroom, demonstrating excellence both athletically and academically.

This fall, he will continue his academic and soccer career at the United States Coast Guard Academy in Connecticut.

Congrats to Caylem Richardson of Morgan County, the Morgan & Morgan MVP of the 2A Baseball State Championship🏆. Richardson pitched 8 1/3 innings across two games during the championship sweep, allowing just two hits and one run.
