From Rose Hill to the World Cup!

The FIFA World Cup 2026 is officially underway, and the Rams are right at the center of the action. Meet Lauren Lambrugo ’91, the Chief Operating Officer of FIFA World Cup '26 Philadelphia!

Lauren is the mastermind leading operations for Philadelphia’s FIFA Fan Festival at Fairmount Park, the largest World Cup fan fest in North America. Dubbed the "Coachella of Soccer," the massive 29-day celebration has already welcomed over 250,000 visitors with its viral charm bracelets, incredible local food trucks, and massive watch parties.

Managing everything from transportation to complex stadium conversions, Lauren credits her time at Fordham for preparing her for the challenge. “I could say the Jesuit values of service to others I learned at Fordham,” she shared when reflecting on why her team set out to build such an ambitious, free community experience.We are incredibly proud to see a Fordham alumna welcoming the world and showcasing how a major city does fandom.
