Applied to today, as we take hard-earned human experience from that which we consider of a level of excellence, created beauty, we diminish both the value of the creator-process of creating and the significance of the 'created's' value. While undermining the evolved repository of knowledge and experience that comes through hard-gained skills, excellence, and created beauty.

As they say if anybody can do it .... That is then no longer of value to everyone, or of value to many. What seems to remain after the value decreases are the objects of sign value, simulacrum and hyperreality as expressed by Jean Baudrillard.

The technology takes on the desire to be gained rather than the actual physically created object. Becoming a simulation (of varied degrees) of what the distant past great artists, composers, musicians and singer songwriters to the not-too-distant past. Merely an imitation that lacks the depth heart and soul that comes from the hard-earned experiences of the more manual doing.

I'm not saying great talent doesn't exist still as it does. Or the ability to achieve excellence, just that the soul behind it is becoming lesser and lesser known to the greater audience. Which can not connect to it.
