Riley’s new belt.
Started it yesterday and finished it up this morning. It’s not my best work but I know Riley will love it despite its imperfections.
I struggled a bit with my sewing machine but I’m still learning how to use it so there it that. I’m sure all of the issues I ran into were user error and not the machine. The next one will be better 🙂.

I did a little nylon strap fixing/upgrading today. It was a quick fix but gave me more time to play around with my industrial sewing machine.

I’m back in my leather room!!
Did a little softball glove repair for my brother this morning on my new to me leather sewing machine. Some tight areas made for some not to straight stitch lines but this will hold nicely.

Finishing up a couple little projects that have been hanging around my work bench and watching the snow fly! It’s cold out there, be safe my friends.

What is currently on my workbench.
Custom commissioned XL version of the long wallet pattern. This one is slightly longer and wider to hopefully accommodate a business checkbook that flips from the end verses the top. 🤞🤞my calculations from the measurements sent to me are correct and this thing fits when it is all put together.
Here is my progress:
Day one - Modify the pattern pieces and get the go ahead to start work with deposit in place.
Night 2 - Cut out all of the pieces
Night 3 - Skive all of the pocket assembly pieces.
Night 4 - Skive the outside edge and bottom of money flap. Finish the top edges of all of the card pockets and start sewing them onto the backing.
Night 5 - Tonight I plan to get the rest of the card pockets sewn in and also trim and sew that side of the wallet assembly together. But, we’ll see how everything goes. I am a mom and wife first and foremost and then a leathercrafter.
