The world will spend your entire life trying to tell you who you are.
Your past will try to define you.
Your mistakes will try to define you.
Your addiction will try to define you.
Your anxiety, your divorce, your failures, your diagnosis, the opinions of other people, and even the names you've been called will all compete for your identity.
But none of those things have the final say.
God does.
The enemy has always been an accuser. He wants you to believe you're too broken, too damaged, too far gone, or too unworthy for God to use. If he can get you to question your identity, he'll get you to question your purpose.
Don't fall for it.
You are not what you've done.
You are not what happened to you.
You are not what someone else thinks of you.
If you've placed your faith in Christ, your identity is found in Him. That's where your worth comes from. That's where your purpose comes from. That's where your hope comes from.
Stop letting people who didn't create you tell you who you are.
The Creator already has.
Walk in that truth today.
