Monsoons are crazy! They make my pool life difficult and exhausting.

But I love the season and the rain. ⛈🌦🌤

Here is a before and after of a pool I clean.

A customer recently asked if a filter clean was really necessary. They don't usually believe that they are for whatever reason.

They are very necessary to keep your pool clean and running properly. The debris and dirt need a place to go and when the filter is "full" they don't have that place.
The cleaner doesn't work properly when the filter is dirty, the suction is low in the pool, making the pool person work harder.

So, if you have a DE filter or a Cartridge filter, yes it is very necessary to clean them twice a year.

Sand filters need to be backwashed once a month, sometimes a little more to get all the dirt out.
