We’re a high-energy, team-oriented, education-first practice. One of our Medical Assistants is heading off to graduate school and we’re looking for our next Intern / Medical Assistant to grow with us and bring heart, hustle, and hospitality to every interaction.

What You’ll Do
Front Office Responsibilities:
• Welcome patients with professionalism and warmth
• Answer phone calls and manage appointment scheduling
• Facilitate check-in/out and collect payments
• Maintain a clean, organized front office
• Provide information about services, products, and promotions
Back Office Responsibilities:
• Assist Dr. Romine and clinical team with procedures and consultations
• Prepare treatment rooms and ensure cleanliness and supply readiness
• Document patient history and update patient records and chart
• Offer pre/post-procedure education and support
• Learn about advanced technologies in dermatology and regenerative medicine

Requirements
• Undergraduate degree or currently enrolled (healthcare, hospitality, performance arts, or related fields a plus!) Please provide a transcript (as we offer this position as a pre-graduate program)
• Proficiency in using electronic documentation systems and basic computer skills (training on our systems provided!)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
• A growth mindset and can-do attitude!

Dr. Gallegos is the lead physician and founder of Modern Medicine AZ. The practice is focused on integrative primary care with an emphasis on pain management. Modern Medicine is seeking a part-time scribe to join the team. Perfect for juniors or seniors looking to gain experience prior to medical school.

Qualifications:

-High school graduate
-Bilingual Spanish/English a plus
-Minimum 2 shifts per week availability to work
-Ability to multi-task and consistently communicate in a professional manner
-Completion of a medical terminology course or one year medical terminology experience in a clinical setting
-Punctuality and preparedness for all shifts and work-related activities
-Professional appearance is required.
