Would you rather live in the mountains or by the ocean? This is something I’ve ask myself most of my life. Growing up it was always the mountains, no matter what. I think that came from the few years I spent living and skiing in Salt Lake City. Just being surrounded by them have a sense of wonder and calm. Moving out to the desert I missed that. I missed the snow, not that Arizona doesn’t have that. I think it was the proximity of it all. Yet as I grew older and moved to Oahu, the ocean was calling. The mountains seemed flat as I spent my days free diving and surfing. Each day new and most likely frustrating, but I loved it. There is something about the water that is so healing. I could go out on a lunch break after a long morning, and come back rejuvenated...for me the balance between the two would be ideal but I think the ocean has the slight upper hand
