We’re proud to announce our Guest Speaker: Sergeant Juan Perez (USMC) — a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, former Chicago Police Officer, and Founder of VetRise Academy.

Sgt. Perez served with 3rd Battalion, 1st Marines as an Infantry Marine and later as a Marine Corps Scout Sniper, deploying to Afghanistan in 2010 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. After nearly a decade in law enforcement, he founded VetRise Academy, helping veterans rebuild their health, mindset, and purpose through coaching and The VetRise Podcast.

Juan’s message is simple but powerful: “Veterans don’t need more sympathy — they need self-accountability, self-devotion, and a sense of purpose.”
