We rescue dogs from animal shelters in southern California, many of them "high-kill," and see them through to adoption (and love updates on afterward!) We provide the medical care, emotional support, and love for these dogs who, often, have been literally saved from death's door. When you adopt a pet from A Pass for Paws, you will know that you have played a tremendous part in our continuing rescue efforts.

Since my world 🌎 shattered and I lost the absolute LOVE ❤️ of my life! My BFF, my beacon who shinned 🌟 to make sure I always knew where I belonged.
The pain that I feel is beyond description. But if there is one thing that has given me MODICUM ☮️ of solace. It’s knowing that I would still choose the world 🌎 & life I experienced & shared with him, each and every time! And I would experience the same excruciating pain 🔪 I felt all over again when he lost his fight with CMML Leukemia (Blood Cancer ♋️) that he so valiantly fought till the moment he took his last breath, right next to me, and our dogs by his side. 😢 If I had to because REAL, TRUE LOVE ❤️ is WORTH IT! No matter what. So even though each and every single minute of every single day is so HARD to get through, HE WAS WORTH IT & WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN and FOREVER FILLS MY HEART ❤️ till my last breath! I MISS him beyond measure!! 😭 💔
