If you are applying for a position, here are a few things that you should avoid:
1. Hanging up on the person who is conducting the phone screening.
2. Having a voice mail box that is full.
3. Having a terrible voice message.
4. Picking up the phone and being silent.

That's all. Those candidates will NOT be moving on to the second round of the interview process.
