He Is Risen

First off this is Kyle not Gina posting. I want to wish this amazing woman. Happy Birthday. There have been ups and downs to say the least but many more ups than downs. The past 5 years has been extremely tough for me which means they are equally tough for her. Without her unwavering love and support it would have been impossible to get to where I am and more importantly where we are. She’s been the rock of this family. Setting herself and her life aside to make sure this family can flourish and it has. I couldn’t be more happy as a Husband and Father and it’s because of her fight for me and our kids. This post isn’t about me but the past few years I have become more vulnerable for the success of our marriage. So for her birthday I’ll share that I have been sober from alcohol for 890 days. I never let her celebrate the milestones because of my shame. Through Save a Warrior and Simple recovery I’ve moved past shame to courage and love for myself which has allowed more presence as a father and husband. So, thank you Gina for this life we have together. I’m forever grateful for your support and love. I’m honored to be yours, forever. I love you HAPPY BIRTHDAY.
