We are thrilled to announce that Emily Neill, alumna of our 2015 conference, opened an Etsy shop! Hope you'll check out her beautiful, ingenious pattern for a high back camisole. We are so excited to be able to share such a high quality modest pattern with you! Emily is offering the Modest Fashion Guild audience 25% off their purchase from now through October 31, 2018 with the code MFG25. Visit Emily's shop https://www.etsy.com/shop/EMILYNEILLstudio

Emily describes her design: "The High Back Camisole will soon become your favorite basic layering essential! It features adjustable elastic straps, a unique higher neckline in the front and back, and a long hemline to keep it in place all day. With only two main pattern pieces, this project sews up quickly...included is a detailed, illustrated instructional booklet, sprinkled with lots of bonus tips for sewing successfully with knits."

Lisa Bechler, winner of the 2017 Apparel Design Contest, created this delightful design for young girls. She describes her inspiration for this dress: "Fashions for young girls should encourage femininity and innocence. The bell sleeves and high waist of this design do both. The full skirt allows for room to dance, and the elbow length sleeves are pretty without being fussy." Excellent work, Lisa!

Another beautiful design from Lisa Bechler, 2017 Design Contest winner. One of the often forgotten yet extremely important aspects of modesty is being clothed for the adventure of serving others. Lisa designed this cute dress with that in mind: "A little girl's clothes should not slow her down, and the gathered skirt of this design allows for room to run. The fitted bodice is fully lined with set-in gathered sleeves. The main fabric is a bird print that fits my sister's fluttering, adventurous spirit."

This is one of the designs by Design Contest winner Lisa Bechler. Quality craftsmanship and such a unique fun fabric! Lisa says, "The inspiration for this dress came from a dress I made for myself from the Blank Slate Pattern 'Marigold.' I loved the dress for its comfort and fit, and taking some ideas from it, drafted this design for a little girl.... It's the perfect dress for running around in, and because of the buttons in the front, is great for little girls who like dressing themselves."
