Waking up after a migraine is always an interesting experience.

Add record-low temps and rain to the mix (yes, I know our Florida “cold” in the 30s is practically a heatwave for my friends up north), and you’ve got the perfect recipe for stirring up low back pain.

But… I powered through with some stretching, got my steps in, and now I’m gearing up to jump in the pool. Who’s the wuss now? It’s taking me forever to get in, so I guess me! Ha

I’m so grateful for all the Doctors, Nurses, Dieticians, Genetic Staff and many others who have helped us maintain diets and track blood tests all these years.

PKU has been a part of our lives since June 9, 2004 when we received a call from the telling us we had to bring our son to them that day. We googled PKU and immediately started to worry. 19 years later, our kids manage their diets and PKU hasn’t slowed them down at all. I am actually in awe of my PKU kids!

🙏I have prayed for 19 years for a cure.
🙏I have prayed for 19 years for the government to pass the [Medical Nutrition Equity Act] that would bring so much financial assistance to many Rare Disease families.
🙏I have prayed for 19 years for financial help for so many families that are so burdened by the cost of , and help.

I can’t imagine our kids lives without their incredible mother, Tracie ‘Riker’ Raitz, who from day one, has been brave, courageous and dedicated to making our kids lives normal and teaching them how to maintain their diets so they can thrive!
