Hi… I’m Zoey 💛
I’m a approx 4 year old, spayed Giant Schnauzer (approx 40 lbs) with a gentle heart and a story that’s made me a little shy at first. I spent a few months out on my own before I was rescued, and I’ve worked really hard since then including going through heartworm treatment so I can be healthy and ready for my forever home.
Because of my past, I can be a little nervous when I first meet new people or find myself in new places. If I feel unsure, I might quietly retreat until I know I’m safe. But once I trust you… oh, I really love you. I’m calm, affectionate, and happiest just being near my people.
I don’t have a mean bone in my body and I do great with kids. I truly just want to feel safe and loved.
When I first settled into a home, I had a little bit of anxiety and tried to cope by chewing or digging, but once I realized I was safe and cared for, that all faded away. I just need a little patience and reassurance in the beginning and I promise I’m so worth it.
One thing about me? I LOVE being part of a pack. Having other dogs around helps me feel confident and happy, and I’ve really thrived in that kind of environment. I also love to stretch my legs and run, so a fenced yard would be a dream for me.

Meet Licorice , the sweetest treat you’ll ever find! At just 4 weeks old and only 1 pound, this tiny girl’s life started a bit roughly when she was found abandoned on the side of the road. But don't let her rocky beginning fool you—she’s a resilient little fighter with a heart of gold and a coat as dark and glossy as her name. Licorice is now a little over 2 months old (approx dob 1/24/2026) and learning from her older foster fur siblings. She’s learning that the world is a kind place filled with warm blankets, soft belly rubs, and regular meals. Since she’s so young, she’s looking for a family with the patience to help her grow from a pint-sized peanut into a confident lady.

Because he is so smart, Cooper has unfortunately learned to guard his favorite people and needs guidance to manage jealousy and reactivity with other dogs his size. He needs a dedicated, experienced foster or forever home that can give him one-on-one training to help him become his best self.

Miss Licorice had a busy 2 day weekend so far in between bottle feeding and sleeping. Friday she got invited to for Farron's Forever Friends segment (airs this coming Tuesday) and for Rescues in Action (airs next Saturday). She is still looking for her forever home and flourishing and growing every day.
