Did you know that there are actually 4 verses to "The Star-Spangled Banner"?

Here's verse 1, which is what we hear at sporting events, with spelling and punctuation from Francis Scott Key's manuscript . . .

O say can you see, by the dawn's early light,
What so proudly we hail'd at the twilight's last gleaming,
Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight
O'er the ramparts we watch'd were so gallantly streaming?
And the rocket's red glare, the bomb bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there,
O say does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

We had a blast with this group, and our WINE & APPETIZERS experience, outside of Atlanta, Georgia, last weekend!

This experience whets your participants’ appetites for a future meal, tasty wine consumption, collaboration, camaraderie, and out-of-the-office fun! As teams complete various mental, minimally-physical, and creative challenges, they earn the supplies needed to prepare their finger foods, wine-of-choice, and décor equipment. Topping it all off is the tasting at each team’s “osteria.” WINE & APPETIZERS is THE “happy hour” team building event, built upon the gratifying Italian ritual, the aperitivo.

Whether you have 20 participants, or 2,000, we’ve got you covered, wherever you are!

Did you know . . .

honoring the men and women who have died while serving in the military, communities, individuals, and organizations have kept Memorial Day in various forms in the United States since the end of the Civil War. General John Logan first called for a nationwide day of remembrance on May 5, 1868. The observance was called Decoration Day, and it was observed on May 30th, 1868.

Decoration Day gradually became known as Memorial Day and now honors all U.S. service members who have died during a military conflict. Memorial Day continued to be observed on May 30th for many years. Then, in 1968, Congress passed the Uniform Monday Holiday Act of 1968. Since 1971, Memorial Day has been observed the last Monday of May.
