π₯ Tamarac Fire Rescue -BBQ & Food Safety This Fourth of July
As we celebrate Independence Day and America's 250th Anniversary, Tamarac Fire Rescue encourages everyone to enjoy the holiday safely while gathering with family and friends around the grill.
A great BBQ starts with great food safety:
π‘οΈ Cook foods to the proper internal temperature and use a food thermometer.
π§Ό Clean hands, utensils, and preparation surfaces often to prevent cross-contamination.
βοΈ Chill perishable foods promptly. Don't leave food sitting out in the Florida heat for more than two hours, or one hour when temperatures exceed 90Β°F.
π₯ Celebrate Safely by keeping grills away from homes, fences, and combustible materials. Never leave a grill unattended while cooking.
Florida's summer heat can quickly turn a fun celebration into a food safety concern. Taking a few simple precautions helps protect your family and guests from foodborne illness and prevent accidental fires.
From all of us at Tamarac Fire Rescue, we wish you a safe, enjoyable, and memorable Fourth of July as we celebrate 250 years of America together.
Cook Smart. Stay Safe. Celebrate Responsibly.
