There was so much to celebrate and take home from Sunday at GC.

We celebrated six people taking their next step through church membership!

We also had the honor of hearing from Angie and Paul Lambert about the lives being changed through Impact Appalachia. You can give to their ministry at gctlh.org/give

Through Abraham’s story, Pastor Brian reminded us that waiting on God doesn’t mean He has forgotten us. We heard from Mandi Latimer, a certified grief counselor; she shared practical wisdom on grief and the importance of continuing to show up for people long after a loss.

God is working—in every season and through every story.

Reminder! Wednesday nights are taking a break. We've got exciting stuff ahead, though. July 22nd is our Mega Sports Camp Family Night and July 29th we will hear from our team that just returned from Nicaragua!

What do you do when God’s promise feels delayed?

Through Abraham’s story, Pastor Samuel reminded us not to settle for substitutes, but to stay sensitive to God, trust His plan, and speak His truth over our circumstances.

Nicaragua Team Update: Thursday and Friday
We had days three and four at Mega Sports Camp in Tipitapa. Friday was an unbelievable day. We had our largest and most energetic crowd yet. There were so many laughs and special moments as we presented the story of Jesus and had the opportunity to pray with the kids we had built relationships with all week. It was an amazing day, but it’s been an unbelievable week overall.
In the evenings, our team divided into two groups. On Thursday, one team went to Ticuantepe and the other went to the church in Sandino. On Friday evening, our team split again, one group went to Veracruz and the other to Xiloá.
The Friday services were held in recently planted churches. These had little or no construction and dirt floors, but they were packed with kids. There was lots of fun, God’s presence, and loving pastors and teams. We all agreed that the Friday evening services had our largest audiences of unchurched people.
We are having a great time and are now preparing for a neighborhood block party, a boat tour of Lake Managua, and a very busy day on Sunday.
