Easy* Garden Harvest Marinara Recipe
*Easy if you have a garden with lots of tomatoes and fresh herbs.
INGREDIENTS:
• 4 Pounds Ripe Tomatoes
• 1 TBSP Olive Oil
• 1 Small Bulb Garlic, Minced
• 1 Small Onion, Minced (Optional)
• Fresh Herbs - Basil, Oregano, Thyme
• 1 TBSP Sugar
• Pinch of Salt
• Pinch of Black Pepper
• TBSP balsamic vinegar
• Frank Sinatra Music
RECIPE:
1. Rough chop tomatoes. Any size, any kind. Pour tomatoes and juice into a large pot and bring to simmer.
2. Sauté minced garlic and onions in olive oil. Add to tomato pot.
3. Add herbs, stems and all. Let sauce cook down for 30 minutes. Stir when you remember.
4. Use immersion blender to puree sauce to your liking. Pro tip: Let the blender catch the herb stems for you.
5. Toss in sugar, salt, pepper, and balsamic vinegar. Adjust to your tastes.
